The 2026 Alberta Winter Games will bring together youth aged 11–16 from across the province to compete in a thrilling lineup of individual and team sports. From the first whistle to the final medal ceremony, the Games will celebrate athletic excellence, community pride, and the power of sport to inspire.

Athletes earn their place at the Games through zone playoffs and selections held throughout Alberta, making this a true showcase of the province’s rising stars. With events hosted across Glendon, Bonnyville, and Cold Lake, the Lakeland Region is proud to welcome participants, families, and fans for four unforgettable days of competition and camaraderie.

Join us in cheering on Alberta’s future champions - including our Top-Qualifier, Juvenile Skater, Presley Whitfield.

The 2026 Combined Winter Invitational hosted in Airdrie, Alberta is a Skate Alberta–sanctioned competition designed to support high-performance athlete development within the Skate Canada Podium Pathway & STARSkate streams of competition.

This event supports next-level athlete development through high-performance training that emphasizes advanced technical skills, structured progression, and competitive readiness. Our skaters train with increased intensity and accountability, focusing on quality execution, athletic conditioning, and performance consistency—building the foundation required for sectionals, nationals, and high-performance international pathways.
