The 2026 Skate Canada Trophy is a national competition that brings together the former Novice Canadian Championships and Skate Canada Challenge – Pre-Novice/Novice events under one umbrella. The event features Canada’s up-and-coming skaters in the pre-novice and novice categories.

2026 Alberta Winter Games
Get ready to witness the energy, talent, and spirit of Alberta’s next generation of athletes! The 2026 Alberta Winter Games will bring together youth aged 11–16 from across the province to compete in a thrilling lineup of individual and team sports. From the first whistle to the final medal ceremony, the Games will celebrate athletic excellence, community pride, and the power of sport to inspire.
Athletes earn their place at the Games through zone playoffs and selections held throughout Alberta, making this a true showcase of the province’s rising stars. With events hosted across Glendon, Bonnyville, and Cold Lake, the Lakeland Region is proud to welcome participants, families, and fans for four unforgettable days of competition and camaraderie.

Star Series #4 (Star 4 – Gold, Synchro 3 & 4)
The STAR Series #4 Competition is a Skate Canada–sanctioned event in Lethbridge, Alberta for skaters competing at the STAR 4 level and higher. This competition is part of the provincial STAR Series, designed to support athlete development through meaningful competitive experiences.
Skaters perform free skating programs to music and are evaluated on skating skills, technical elements, and performance, following Skate Canada standards. STAR Series events provide a positive, well-structured environment that helps skaters build confidence, gain competition experience, and continue progressing along the STARSkate pathway.
This event is an exciting opportunity for many of our Big Rock skaters and families to celebrate growth, effort, and achievement on the ice.

Combined Winter Invitational (Star 5-Gold/Podium Pathway)
The 2026 Combined Winter Invitational hosted in Airdrie, Alberta is a Skate Alberta–sanctioned competition designed to support high-performance athlete development within the Skate Canada Podium Pathway & STARSkate streams of competition.
This event supports next-level athlete development through high-performance training that emphasizes advanced technical skills, structured progression, and competitive readiness. Our skaters train with increased intensity and accountability, focusing on quality execution, athletic conditioning, and performance consistency—building the foundation required for sectionals, nationals, and high-performance international pathways.

2026 Picks and Tricks Showcase
A Mini-Competition is a fun, low-pressure event designed to introduce skaters to the competition experience in a supportive environment. This event allows STAR 1-3 skaters to perform skills or short programs in a structured, encouraging setting.
Mini-competitions focus on confidence-building, performance experience, and skill development, making them the perfect first step toward future STARSkate competitions—without the intensity of larger competitive events.
